Cocktails?

Why do they call these "cocktail dresses?" It's because if you wear one, you are expected to have cocktails. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I was invited to a show by Miss Cast in which a cocktail dress was given as the appropriate attire, so I dug this out of inventory. I still love it!

If you are not acquainted with Miss Cast's work, you should be. She is a wonderful jazz vocalist and a good friend.

When I did the photos for this post, I named this one "Dancing Reverie." I would not normally post a picture in which my eyes were nearly closed, but it kinda fits in with the reverie motif. A fantasy within a fantasy...
